May 28, 2026, Zoom – Twala, in partnership with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) – Quezon City Chapter and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) – Quezon City Chapter, organized a focused two-hour webinar that drew an engaged audience of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), corporate officers, legal practitioners, and professionals from various industries. The session delivered both the legal foundations and the practical roadmap needed to transition from paper to digital with confidence — a shared commitment that reflects the strength of the ongoing collaboration between Twala and PCCI–QC.
The webinar, titled Electronic Signatures and Electronic Notarization in the Philippines: What Businesses Need to Know, was held on May 28, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM via Zoom. The session was especially relevant for MSMEs and businesses across sectors looking to modernize their document workflows — and also gave an early look at electronic notarization, an emerging capability that Twala is actively working toward as the legal and regulatory framework in the Philippines continues to develop.
The event featured two primary speakers: Atty. Third Bagro, Co-founder and General Counsel of Twala, who walked through the legalities of e-signatures and offered a look at what electronic notarization may look like once the necessary regulatory processes are in place; and Engr. Jeffrey Reyes, Co-founder and CEO of Twala, who shared practical tips for building and maintaining a paperless business. Opening remarks were delivered by Atty. Jeffrey Constantino of IBP – QC Chapter, and Anne Marie Francisco, President of PCCI – QC Chapter.
The session covered the following key areas:
- The legal distinction between electronic and digital signatures and their validity under Philippine law
- The evolving landscape of electronic notarization and what businesses can expect as it moves toward implementation
- Which business processes — contracts, vendor agreements, HR and finance documents — can be safely digitized today
- Risk mitigation, compliance, and data security best practices
- Step-by-step guidance for implementing digital signing across corporate operations
The event was closed by Atty. Reggie Duran, Secretary General Trustee of IBP – QC Chapter. This webinar is part of Twala and PCCI–QC’s continuing effort to equip the Philippine business community — from MSMEs to enterprises across multiple sectors — with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive in an increasingly digital landscape.
“The goal isn’t just going digital for its own sake — it’s about building corporate processes that are faster, more defensible, and fully compliant with Philippine law.”
